Err... I just checked my profile and the Avatar looks fine to me...

I'll just post this reply to check if it's working properly...

As I mentioned earlier... My avatar seems fine and did not need re-loading... I gather that some of you guys lost your avatars though...

Spooky...

Oh well, perhaps OS4 is harder to kill than I thought...  LOL :-D

It must have been cached or something as it still looked fine from my end...
