making own ROM's
« on: October 21, 2018, 06:09:30 PM »
Hello.
I put this topic here since it regards making roms...

I have searched for the topic the last few days. but i cant find any real related topic. (perhaps i suck at searching....)
anyways...

I recently purchased os 3.1.4 and try to install it to my A500+ but it gives me quite a challenge. The derringer has a hardware option to store rom in fastram.
Using the - D3 drom - option makes the hardware copy rom data to ram. but i find no option to spesify rom from a file. making it (so far) impossible to put 3.1.4 rom in use on my A500+ setup. I need an actual rom replacement.

If i am correct this should be able to program a 40 pin rom chip.

But i struggle finding the actual rom chips...
This chip has come recomended in many of the threads. But it is 42 pin....

Can anyone here put me in the right direction please?
(to a proper programmer and proper chips)

the programmer you linked to can only write to chips with 32 pins... A500 rom chips are 40 pins
