The c64 is not that rare. many thinks it is and wants dracula prices for them.
The C64 topped its sales somewhere around 30 million sold units, making it the best selling personal computer of all time. (from wikipedia)

however, diskdrives and other peripherals for the C64 is becomming rare as He||...

As for the emulator. I hade one that worked very good. but i lost the disk and cannot find it back. Nor do i remember its name...

Apart from the fact that a pc has never been sold as a completely assembled compyter with case, audio, gfx++ in one case. like the C64 was. However, if you count pcs by the number of sold MB.... :-)
