« on: April 15, 2007, 07:57:50 PM »

Do any of u guys know if there is any new (or used for that matter)PPC cards for sale. or do any of u guys have one not in use for sale?

My card is a 603e+ 210MHz 040
the only thing i demand/need is that it is SCSI onboard...

Code: [Select]
You have mentioned that you powered the computer through the main power connector, but make sure that you have connected 4 wires and not only the wire for -12V as someone has mentioned previously in another thread. Feed the motherboard through the floppy power port as you are doing now

The powerconector is connected with all possible pins...
without the -12V the sound is a problem (i did not gen any sound). and the stability was a major problem, my A1200 would not even run, without the ppc connected.... And yes, I have power to the floppy connector as well...

Code: [Select]
and then feed the Blizzard PPC accelerator through the fan connector on the accelerator
That I have not done, yet...

Code: [Select]
A 200W PSU might not be enough, or the PSU might be on it's way out.
200W should be enough... Im just running a hard drive in addition to the accelerator... The zip drive has its own psu... The psu is not showing any kind of signs that it is about to die... It reports all the powers as it should do...
measuring with a multimeter... both voltage and amps....

------
I can try to connect the PPC trough the fan connector onboard, and run the ppc fan direct from the psu...
perhaps that may work...
