Thanks for pointing out it was a scam.  I was bidding on that!  :D

I thought the specs were too good to be true, not to mention the "free shipping".

Now this little beauty is tempting me too:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-COMMODORE-PET-Model-2001-VERY-RARE-/180829987818?_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D5%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D6661202060719658026

Here's one of the things that annoys me about certain eBay sellers:

Quote
No cracks, dents, chips, etc.  Being sold as-is.  Includes a power cord.

I do not guarantee it's functionality in any way, shape or form

The thing has a power cord.  He shows a picture of it with a power cord.  How much effort does it take to plug it into a socket and flip the on/off switch?  He knows exactly what the functionality of it is, because if it did power up then he'd have taken a picture of the screen.

What scares me (although I remember lusting after these when they were new) is that line at the bottom of the listing.

"I do not guarantee it's functionality in any way, shape or form."

Yep, in other words:  "This item is completely buggered"

Still, it would look nice in the corner of my computer room.

It looks like the item has been removed

I got an email from eBay as I had bid on it stating that the item had been removed and that the account hodler was not at fault.
