I took one of these out of my A4000 too when I fitted a new CPU card.  I ended up transplanting it into my 68030 A3000.

Mine had a whopping great big heat sink on it which I had to replace with a slimmer one (off a PC) to fit under the A3000 floppy drive bays.  Were you running this without one and if so did you get any stability issues?
A2000, A3000, 2 x A1200T, A1200, A4000Tower & Mediator, CD32, VIC-20, C64, C128, C128D, PET 8032, Minimig & ARM, C-One, FPGA Arcade... and AmigaOne X1000.

For a short period of time, when the 4000 was with stock specs, it was running without a heat sink without any stability issues. After a while when I started fitting lots of cards, cables inside the 4000 and ventilation was not the greatest, I used a heat sink from an old Pentium PC.

I'll definately leave mine in place then.  There isn't much airflow in the A3000.  It could be a cheap option for anybody wanting to speed up their A3000.
