as far as the 1200 goes, well, the PCMCIA slot is handy for file transfers, AGA chipset, and takes 2 meg chip without messing around with stuff.
Also, active IDE slot without needing anything special.
Not hating on the 2000, but I dont have the space to set it up, as its an NTSC machine which is a pain as well.
My A2000 is a rev 6.2 board. It was NTSC, but a 5 minute bit of DIY with a sharp knife and it is now PAL. I thought about fitting a switch to toggle it, but I can't say I've ever had the need for a NTSC Amiga.
