Strange, mine is.
looking at the A4000D mobo from the front (with the output ports facing away from you - printer, video, audio, etc), the IDE and floppy headers are on the right hand side of the board. For both of them Pin 1 is on the top RIGHT.

ah, bugger.

Sorry, I misunderstood.

I have an IDE terminator myself for the A4000, but I'm not at home to check it for you.  Can you post a picture of it and where you got it?

Edit:  Mine has a red circuit board and with a bloody big "1" on the end.  :)

Drop them an email.  Check out the "when hell freezes over" thread here.  Their owner and technician were posting in it around an hour ago.
