Subway USB installation problem

I don't have a Subway, but I have a Deneb.

Try doing an install on a clean 3.x installation and that way you'll at least know that the hardware isn't at fault.

#1.  Copy the MUI archive, the latest INSTALLER command and LHA to some Amiga floppies.

#2.  Install OS3.x

#3.  Copy LHA and INSTALLER into your C draw.

#4.  Unarchive MUI to RAM or a folder and install it.

#5.  Install your Subway software and cross your fingers.

Make a fresh OS3.1 install, copy LHA and the lastest INSTALLER to your C draw, type LHA x (e.g. df0:MUI8.LHA) and watch it unpack to your RAM drive.  Open your RAM drive and install MUI from there.

Does that work?

Try redownloading the MUI archive from Aminet and copy the LHA to your Amiga via a PC formatted floppy and CrossDOS.  Don't do any "fiddling" with it on the PC side.

Download and use LHA instead?  I'm only saying that because it is what I used.

Your next step should be to shove a memory stick into one of your USB ports and then watch in amazement as the Amiga detects and mounts it.

Oh, don't forget to install "FAT95" file system on the Amiga!

I'm not sure how the system will react without it as I've always installed it straight away with the Deneb.  You wont be able to access FAT drives without it, but whether you'll get a NoDOS icon is something I cannot say.

Once it is installed, you'll shove a stick or a drive in the slot, a window should appear stating the USB stack detected it and then you'll see it being mounted.  If you go to the stack preferences then you should see it listed
