I use the Genesis stack which comes with OS3.9.

One word of advice I was given was to install Genesis before installing Boing Bags 1 & 2 as one of them will update Genesis if it is installed.
A2000, A3000, 2 x A1200T, A1200, A4000Tower & Mediator, CD32, VIC-20, C64, C128, C128D, PET 8032, Minimig & ARM, C-One, FPGA Arcade... and AmigaOne X1000.

Oh, if you don't have an Ethernet adapter yet then buy one from AmigaKit as it comes with a floppy disk with a TCP/IP stack on it, plus the drivers and the PCMCIA "fix".

That's what I used on my A1200 and it's a painless install and well worth the money (wired and wireless cards available).
