an update on my game
« on: January 01, 2015, 11:52:46 PM »
Dear Amigan Friends:

As many of you know, my game has been in aminet for a long time.
WIZ.lha in role-play (aminet).
'wizard of the orb'.
To run, you must install the game into the HD, then at the start enter the path
where it looks for the pics, followed by the '/' symbol.
EX:  workbench:wizardorb/pics/
I could not finish making the game before, and made it into a one level demo.
Now I am going to take the game, and make it into a finished game.
Is like a sequel...but it really will be a complete finished game.
I am picking up where the game was left.
I spent a long time today starting to code the game.
In the original 'wizard' you can only level up one time...only up to level 2.
I just made it so that you can level up to level 30. I am very happy with this,
but actually would like to be able to level up to level 40.
I added that when you create your character...both the profession and race, and
sex, it tells you what the bonus stats are. EX. The 'giant' race has a +4 str bonus.
Now, everytime you level up, your hitpoints increase by 10.
Next session, I am going to add that, whenever you level, one main stat (randomly
picked) will increase by 1.  Ex. str increases by 1.
I am going to try to create at least one hundred new locations to explore.
I am also going to change all the pics from the original game, replace them with
new pics all made in deluxe paint.
The original game has one small quest in it. I am going to try for the new game,
to have at least 10 different quests.
In the new 'wizard of the orb' : you will not need to kill many mobs or level up many times
to win.You will be able to complete every quest without the need to level up, gain xp
or kill mobs. You will be able to level up for enjoyment..but it will not be needed.
I am going to create new special weapons and armor, which will be gained as you
complete a quest or kill a special mob.
Well, this it it for now, I am looking forward to my next session of coding.
The 'wizard' returns !!!

Dear Friends :

I have good news !!!  When the game is done, I will try to implement
the feature to save the game progress !!!
This way, when you spend a long time in the quest, leveling and upping your armor
and weapons, you can then save your game.

@ Calimeiro

I have good news. If every year from now on, I keep working on the game,
eventually my artistic and programming skills will slowly get better.
Then in the future, I will have a game with great graphics and playability.
I will keep working on my game !!!
