At some point it was needed to use the very latest updates instead of original CD version or couple updates after it... anyway some issue was solved with those latest updates
I'd recommend to try the latest versions before going for a too big work of reinstalling anything etc. You could also check all env variables and tooltypes for CGX, if there's some risky setting enabled.
