I don't know exact answers to your questions, but on 030@50 I didn't notice performance differences with those kind of cards. Both wireless and wired gives >300k/s rates here. I'm using 64bit WEP too and I've been very satisfied to wireless option. I don't know about memory requirements either as it's not a problem for me
