Caught the Mig bug... Again!
« on: March 09, 2007, 02:37:30 PM »
Hi guys, my name is Barry and have just recently caught the mig bug 10 years after last using my amiga.

There is only 1 expansion on the a600 and that is only a 1MB ram upgrade I bought when i was 9 or 10 LOL

Unofrtunately my Workbench Discs are faulty, Would it be possible if someone here could make a backup of a Workbench disk for me with crossdos on it? Then I could write my own Workbench Installer disc etc to install a HD in the amiga?

I would pay for the discs/postage and your time and even take a picture of me with the original discs to prove I own the originals :p

Cheers

Anyway, would it be possible for someone to send me the WB disc(s)? I heard that there is a Worms game that you can download that writes the game to an amiga formated floppy, Is it possible to do that with a WB 2.x adf image? I don't have a catweasel btw

Actually another quick question. Do I need anything special to install a hard drive on my amiga 600, Install workbench 2.x or even 3.x (if possible) then use visual prefs and finally whdload so I can put all my amiga games (3 big boxes) into the hard drive?

Obtaining a 2.5" drive is easy enough, what accelerator should i use for the 600?

Thanks, Yeah the 600 has a cradle but not ide cable. I work in a computer shop but dont actually have any 2.5" ide cables, not much call for them i suppose. So annoying lol
