I have 2 external boxes for the A1000 - the second one is very exciting! -
One unit is the PalJr which has 2 Zorro (full size Zorro II card do not fit) slots inside, space for a hard drive and if I recall has a clock on board the unit (does not seem to be 2k compliant). This unit sits on top of a 1000 and has its own power supply. This model is shown on amiga-hardware.com
Second unit is a large BOX that slaps onto the side of the Amiga (similiar to the Sidecar, but taller), its labelled as 'Turbo Amiga' it does have a Turbo (full height sized Zorro card) on it. Plus about 5 other Zorro (I?/II?) slots. I tested the unit a few weeks ago, the unit works (to my surprise) since this looks more like a prototype than anything. If I recall the Turbo card is a 020 or could be a 030 running at 28Mhz??
I would like to put it through more tests to see how stable it actually is...
