I've had both the CYP box and a DCE ss/ff. The CYP box produced a terrible blurred image and my DCE scandoubler, although pretty good, is not comparable to native output. Also, most amiga scan doublers will not output AGA colour shades correctly, only old ECS palletts.
I recommend that you purchase a compatible CRT monitor while you still can. I have three CRTs for my Amiga, two as backup.

a 17" MicroVitec multisync GPM1701, a 14" Phillips CM11442 and a Sony Trinitron 14" TV. Although the Sony TV is not a monitor, the quality of the Trinitron tube makes it ideal for Amiga computing.
If the quality of output is an important factor to you, I strongly advise you to find an old compatible CRT based display while you still can. The move to LCDs is making them harder to find and the quality of CRTs which are still being manufactured today is pathetic.
