I saw the video just now. How about booting without startup-sequence, type "set echo on" in the shell and "execute s:startup-sequence" and then see where in the startup-sequence it hangs?
I don't have a SAM or OS4.1, but that's what I would do on OS3, OS4.0, MorphOS, AROS etc. 
Managed to boot without startup sequence and it hangs on c: Iprefs?
