« on: February 11, 2010, 11:29:24 PM »
Hi all just finished putting my amiga 1200 into my ez z4 tower connected everything up which included an amiga psu to AT psu lead for my at psu then i attached the rgb to scart lead so i can view on a tv untill my mediator is purchased. powered it up and nothing happened? so thought i would try with my ordinary amiga psu and there is no power going through? any ideas i really dont want to fork out for another 1200.

Doesn't mean that you didn't fry something though. Umm... if you think you were careful and didn't short something out, have you tried reseating the Kickstart chips? Those can settle in place and then when disturbed, cause a wonky connection.

Those are the only socketed chips, so other than that, maybe see if one of the surface mounted chips didn't accidentally pull a leg up if/when you twisted the mobo. Hope you have a magnifying glass or cheaters! lol

Oh and the drive cable could be inserted poorly too. VERY easy to do with floppies or hard drives. Check your IDE and floppy connectors!

i did not have any drives connected just the power and rgb scart lead so i could see whether or not there was a picture then i was gonna add the drives. i will try the roms to make sure all are seated correctly
