15 pin VGA to 9 pin Phillips CM8833?
« on: February 07, 2006, 03:05:57 PM »
Does anyone know, or can work out, if its possible to take the 15 pin vga rgb signal from a sd/ff (using native Amiga screenmodes) and put it into a Philips CM8833 via its pin input connector?

The Philips can obviously display the native modes, and in theory, should be able to display the flickerfixed - not scan doubled - native modes? yes? no?

Help?

@Piru - Cheers ;)

So, the CM8833 can display Pal:Hi-Res Laced with flicker, but not if passed through a flickerfixer? Still no I going to guess..

Ho well...

Sorry Piru - not trying to wind you up, or wear you down but... why?

What does the flickerfixer do to the signal?
Just want a reason really, I thought only the scandoubler did things to the signal, throwing it out from the range displayable on the CM8833...

As you can tell, I'm not really read up on this... :)
