You know, after a long period away from it all, I only recently got my A1 up to date and working properly (still needs more RAM though). It would be typical that new hardware becomes available in the meantime, eh?

You're telling me! I gave away all my Amigas years ago, and wish I hadn't, so a few days ago I started bidding on a load of A1200 stuff..  now I'm thinking I should have started saving for this instead! Still, always nice to have old Amigas to fiddle with I suppose..

If they have sometime to announce why not announce it instead of all this silliness.

I'd say they have a much better idea of marketing than Amiga Inc ever did.

Doing something unusual like this is good for getting the attention of the rest of the computing world, i.e. people are going to the website to see if they can solve the puzzle, and become interested, who otherwise wouldn't have bothered to look. Plus it just creates a buzz & anticipation. A lot of people have been registering on the various Amiga websites just so they can join in the discussions about it.

If it's really something big, they have to promote it in a big way, & I'm sure they will continue to promote it properly after the full announcement.  Every product has a release date; they may as well make some build-up for it! Sure, we've been waiting a long time, but there's non-amigans and ex-amigans who wouldn't have been paying attention until now.
