Erm with my router/cable modem/amiga(s) combination I have not had any problems ... yet!
both the A1 and A1200 are setup to use DHCP. I even connect up the girlfriends XP Laptop as well, although soon I will get her a wireless PCMCIA card so that it can work with the wireless aspect of my router :-)
