Geez.  $100?  I'd kill for a 040 for a 2000 (or at least I would have before I got a 060  :-D )

A3640s are a bad example.  They are problematic.
And no one with an A3000D in it's original case is going to buy one (unless of course they run their A3000D outside around here in January), so the market is smaller.

Have you made sure your capacitors are installed correctly?  Also, how did you overcome the heat issue?  I've put A3640s in several A3000s, and I always had to cut holes and/or add fans.  More heat than a Derringer 030/50 on top of a MegaChip!
