OS4 "classic" crash happy
« on: January 06, 2008, 03:57:12 PM »
Who else has problems with your Amiga's stability under OS4?
My A3000UX is acting exactly like an A2000 I used to use.
I am really afraid to run programs because it's hit or miss when I run one whether it will run or Guru 80000003!  No matter what the program is.
I don't seem to have any problems as long as I don't run new programs.  If I manage to successfully start 10 programs and let them brew for a day everything is OK.
I have tested my RAM many times, and my 604e chip is merely warm, and nothing else in my Amiga is getting hot.

I have tried two different known good PSUs with the same results.  I use AT power supplies.  Also note that this ONLY happens when actually starting a new program.  If it were the power supply, I'd expect it to intermittently happen all the time.

68k so far, don't know that any PPC ones have.  But, default stack is 128000.
