Don't create partitions greater than 2GB(Dos Limitation).
Harddrives are the ones which are supported for upto 8GB.
Ofcourse you can create partitions greater than 2GB without problems, but just make the BOOT partition under 2GB. Other partitions can be bigger if needed. Otherwise with a 40GB harddrive you would have what, 20 2GB partitions??
