The ideal computer for Classic gaming is A500. But A1200 with 030 is rather compatible, and funnier to other stuff tham playing too. One good thing is the early startup in A1200, when I only had a A500+ , My friends A1200 could play some old games that would crash on mine that was not funny. I am building a 1200 too to for old games. With Compact Flash adapter & 030. Silent and stable, very nice!

No, it isn't...

Why? Well, because the WHDLoad slaves have not really until rather recently started to really support the 68000. Also, the 68030 do really speed up some of the games... and if the 030 accelerator is fitted in an A1200 you also get them AGA games running nicely.

But, if you want to play all those old games from floppy, well, then the A500 is rather ideal... although I am not one of those that prefer floppy instead of HD.
