After about a month of installing my 500gb drive on my PC, I've just started getting things back to the way I really like them.  Recently, I reinstalled my AmigaForever 6.0 CD and did an online update of WinUAE, so I'm running version 1.4.4.

What I'd like to do now, is rebuild my "Amiga" using WinUAE.  (I have a real one, but at the moment that one needs to wait.)  I'd like to use AmiKit, but it appears that my AF6.0 CD is not compatible with it.  I did check their forums for some workarounds, but that didn't work.

Basically, what I'd like to end up with is an emulated Amiga4000 desktop or tower with RTG and either an 040 or 060 chip.  I want to jazz this thing up as far as I can get it.  Nice graphics, icons, the works.

Now I thought maybe I could start with the Default 3.X config and then customize it from there.  Maybe it would be better just to start off with a fresh install?  So here are some questions I'm pondering...

1)  Should I build everything up with AmiKit first?  Problem is that I only have AF6.0 and not the recent version.  Real AmigaOS, I have OS3.0 on floppy.  No Catweasel.

2)  Money is limited (which is why I"m not working with the real Amiga yet), so is there a way to build this with what I currently have, or should I get the latest AmigaForever or perhaps OS3.9 on CD (if I can find it)?  I'm thinking that OS3.9 would be the better solution, because I can use it on a real Amiga also.
