Travel Advice.

This post is directed to all the Europeans out there and any one with good experience on inexpensive European travel.

Last August, my father was contacted by a Belgium journalist concerning a B-17G that he served on. The plane had crashed near Grimbergen during the Battle of the Bulge. Previously, my father and I had discussed visiting the crash sight, but dad, after 62 years could barely remember where it was. Lucky for us, this journalist new exactly where the crash occurred and now the family are planning a "pilgramage" to Grimbergen to visit the sight.

We plan to spend a couple days in London, a couple more near the base where dad was stationed, and then two more days near Brussels and Grimbergen.

Some of us that are going, like my young nephew, aren't rich enough to afford expensive European hotels, so I'm looking for some advice and suggestions as to where to stay. Any other advice on cutting down expenses is welcome too.

Excellent, thanks for all those tips. I'll definitely follow up on them. :-)

@ X-Ray

Thanks for the thought, but even if you could, there's gonna be a lot of us so... you'd probably be biting off more than you could "chew." ;-)
