Hi lurkist,

8-)

AmigaOS 4.0 Classic will require at least 64 MB of memory (more is recommended) and at least 200 MB of free hard disk space, as well as a supported PowerPC accelerator (CyberstormPPC or BlizzardPPC).

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that 3.0 ROMS will be ok :-)

I've managed to trace where I read "It will boot from 3.0 ROM's". It was  here

But I've just noticed how old that great report is at the bottom of the page

@ Boot_WB

Congratulations :pint:

Enter the setup menu of your CyberstormPPC / BlizzardPPC (by holding the Escape key while powering up your Amiga) and make sure that the MapROM options is set to "OFF", and that your RAM settings are set to "70ns".

Well I've changed my Ram from 60 to 70 and in System I already have "No MapRom".

I know they aren't mentioned in the Quickstart Guide, but does anyone think I should change any of these in 'System' for optimum performance of my CSPPC:-

SuperScalar Off
BranchCache OFF
Writebuffer Off

In 'CDFS' I have:-

No CDFS HD RDB Scan

Cache sets 40

Cache set blocks 4

Oh ok thanks Framiga,

I think it a good idea to start by making a *copy* of your OS4  BootFloppy and using that :-) (Unless you are going to use the  "Start installation from OS3.x" icon of course)
