Hi,

I would suggest that you install IDEfix and get your CDrom working again if you can. Then when creating the Emergency-Disk be sure to click on 'UseIDEFix' at this screen.

The files for your CDrom should then be copied to the Emergency-Disk so that your CDrom works when you boot into it :-)

EDIT - Also see where the link goes that amije posted while I was creating this masterpiece :-D

Hi,

The IDEFix that was written to the Emergency-Disk will work regardless of whether it is still installed on the hard drive. You will get  "Cannot open atapi.device unit 1" if the unit number is set incorrectly on the driver CD0 in Devs/DOSDrivers of the Emergency-Disk.

Anyway, I've emailed you my Emergency-Disk as an ADF file together with ADF-Blitzer in case you need that to unpack it. I've set the driver CD1 to unit 1. It's worth giving it a try mate :-)
