Yep! It looks red like the planet Mars has come for a visit  :-)

Where's a Slim Whitman record when you need one

(Mars Attack film)

@ X-ray

That's much better than I've managed to get with my Sony digital camcorder :headwall:

@ AJS

Can you post a nice one here tomorrow if they come out ok?

Playback of the recorded footage looks great. Unfortunately taking a photo to memory stick is not the best feature of my Sony camcorder  :boohoo:

@ Mel

Sorry you missed it. To begin with it was like watching a solar eclipse in the way that the moon goes across the sun. I thought the moon would just briefly go yellow and not go red for a couple of hours or so. My poor quality photo above was taken at about 1:30AM as the moon was about to go white again.

@ X-ray

I'm sure a nice photo will appear here before too long :-)

@ all

Anyone know when the next big solar or lunar event is?

Yes very good photos indeed thanks AJS. I also got stuck at the Yahoo groups log in page earlier. I am a member but have long forgotten both my user name and password. They will be something to do with the Amiga of course, but that doesn't really narrow it down much
