ok, i know the a1200 aint the same, just slower .

but i have an ide cdrw, an aopen 52x , i use powerflyer and in pio5 mode (with the ata66 cables (special) ) and it works fine in most stuff (iso\s) upto 40x (if i write from scsi to ide , ide to ide is max 16x or so. (depends on iso type)

but here is the crucial bit , making isos on the fly on ide and burning ion the fly well then i cant burn faster than 8x.

this is on a1200 though, but still i can really speak highly of the powerflyer and its been a good investment but i rather use scsi if the price was better, sadly it aint :)

so i just got myself an ide2scsi adapter (so that i can use my ide devices on my scsi chain)..

just a tip!..

good luck.
Whats up with all the hate!
