Sell or Buy? CSA Derringer 50
« on: February 20, 2007, 08:01:05 PM »
First off let me say I have a heavily mod'ed A1000 (Rejuvenator, 2MB Agnus, Super Denise, Dataflyer 1000 with a 540MB SCSI HD, Sapphire 68020, Spirit InBoard 1000 w/ 1.5MB Ram, DKB Kwikstart II (1.3 from floppy), 2.05 and 3.0, multiple OS's on separate partitions...)

I have a CSA Derringer 50 with 32MB RAM that was to be the finishing touch, but for some reason (can't remember - it was 9 years ago) it didn't like my highly mod'ed A1000.

The A1000 works great as is, so I've kept it in the above configuration for the past 9 years.

So the question is what to do with the CSA Derringer. I can buy an A500 or A2000 to put it in, or I could sell it. I really don't need another Amiga, so I'm thinking selling it would be the correct choice.

If so, any idea how much this might bring in? I can't find anything on ebay (USA) to judge the price of this.

I'm thinking of maybe trying to get it to work in the A1000 one last time. I might not have installed the 030 software in the startup sequence. I can't for the life of me remember - maybe it just wouldn't play games correctly. Or maybe it didn't like remapping KS 3.0.

I pretty much just use the Amiga for games thse days.

Thanks,

Don
