That's my auction. Untested? "This was removed working, but is sold AS-IS as I have no control over how you install it."

It -is- tested. Quite thoroughly.

As for the BIN, someone by the handle "misteramiga" did that and say's he's from NY, and is buying it for Keropi. Keropi says it's someone he met on Amiga.org, but the guy in NY say's they are cousins.

As for the suggestion to ask for forgiveness rather than permission, that advice has caused loads of problems. eBay frowns on me mailing the item to an address other than that registered with the buyer account, while BidPay will not offer protection to me if I send to anything other than the payer's registered address. I'm not even sure BidPay will -let- someone who isn't the auction winner pay for it.

And all this went down while I was in the middle of changing the auction to allow international bidders. So if Keropi had been slightly more patient (and waited more than 8 hours for a reply, I was up at about 6:30am changing the auction when the other guy did a BIN on Keropi's behalf) then he could have done a BIN himself and things would be much simpler.

Now I'm between a rock and a hard place. And I'm left wondering who this 0 feedback new guy really is. Meanwhile I'm out the eBay fees on a $600 sale, Keropi has no worries of negative feedback or deadbeat bidder reports.

I have to say, this is one of the reasons I had set it to US bidders only. There always seems to be some misunderstanding, delay in customs, things I can't control but the buyer freaks out about and blames me for until they get the box and see I shipped it exactly when I said I did.

What I think is the only way this can proceed: Misteramiga in NY fixes his eBay registered mailing address. Keropi gets the money to Misteramiga, somehow. Misteramiga pays me, I ship to Misteramiga, misteramiga ships to Keropi.

This would have been so much simpler if Keropi had asked PERMISSION rather than FORGIVENESS with fake innocence.

Some things become more clear... so stopthegop is misteramiga on eBay?

Don't you think this would look strange to you if the situation were reversed? I've not hung out on Amiga.org in so long that I had to register again. You guys are playing it a bit sneaky, aren't you? Why -wouldn't- that make me nervous?

As I said to you in a private email, if BidPay will let you pay for the auction, then I'll ship to the mailing address you registered with BidPay.

BidPay rejected it. As for you being honest, -I- don't know that. How would I? My first contact with you is having you trick a bid on my auction that was restricted to USA only, and having funny little things pop up to make me suspicious.

And as I said in the auction, No PayPal.

Hi, Plaz! Yep, I don't remember what it was either.

I just saw your news article about the Amiga Atlanta website being back up. I archived the Nasa/JPL articles on the UPCHUG website, hope you don't mind.

I came back here to check up on that guy's story. This has been a nightmare.

How about double your money back? What's 2x zero? :'P

They make great video monitors, sharper and better built than any TV.

ofcourse Bidpay rejected it WITHOUT any explanation, thus proving it is a far inferior system than paypal where all is instant, but on bidpay u need to wait a working day.

I don't feel the same way, obviously. Bidpay won't tell me why it rejected it, since it's none of my business. It didn't sound ominous. Their message said they were telling you, though.

It could be something a simple as a slight difference in your address. For instance, I'm in the habit of typing my address "3501 Sixth Ave" because it's less likely to get misread by a human than "3501 6th Ave", especially if I'm writing it. But some commerce websites only accept it if I type "6th" because that is how it is written on my CC bill.

I use the same CC like on paypal where I have a VERIFIED SELLER account, but noooo bidpay thinks different. maybe because it is targeted to America only, I don't care. anyway I have emailed them requesting to know why. if that fails, then it is western union / moneygram.

Without knowing any details, I can't tell you why. However, my auction does say USPS MO or BidPay/Western Union only, and specifically states no PayPal. So this isn't any surprise to you.

Of course, it also said no bids outside the US. :'/

I'm anxious to get this over with. In one of your private emails you said you couldn't do the Western Union thing until Monday, why is that?

Wow! It's already up to about $305 USD with 6 days 9 hours to go, looks like I made a big mistake in using a BIN of only $600. ;')
