Cyber Storm MK-II problems
« on: November 10, 2008, 04:53:15 PM »
Hello i have a cyberstorm MK-II cpu card, and a amiga 4000.

Recently i started to get some gurus when i boot the machine, they get worst now.

So if i press firmly the cpu card on the board the gurus disappear.

Someone have a tip to fix this ?.

What is the best way to clean the cpu card connector pins.

.

Yes they are in place.
I have now discovered another thing.
If i press hard con the cpu and turn on the machine (not stoping to pressure it) the machine boots fine.
If not i get a guru at startup.
I think i have a cold solder joint at the cpu socket.

 :getmad:

i think my 4000 is out of luck now.

Thanks for the tip  A4000_Mad i'm going to give it a shoot.
But i almost sure that the problem is in the actual 68060 cpu socket not the motherboard cpu slot.

The cpu socket seems to be duble side, and it's imposible to get to the solder joints in the top face of the board (under the cpu black plastic socket).

If someone have expirience doing this kind of repairs plase help !!!.

If my cpu board this i'm out of the amiga scene i think  :-?
