Does Apollo 1230 need a driver?
« on: November 19, 2006, 10:14:32 PM »
I'm thinking of buying a secondhand accelerator for my A1200. If it doesn't come with a driver do I need to download one from somewhere for it to work or is it just plug & play?

Also, I have an external cd drive for it. I think it's IDE but when I buy the cable for it, I'm not quite sure where it goes on the motherboard. If anyone has a pic or can point my in the direction of a guide it would be most helpful.

Last thing, in a previous post I asked about my Joystick problems. Basically when plugged in it would work up/down and fire buttins but would not move left/right. I've looked at the back where you plug it in and the socket seems to be a little bent but the pins are all straight. Is there a way I can fix this without having to replace the motherboard completely?

Any help appreiciated (you can tell I'm a nooby)
