OK, that wasn't the right way. What is?
« on: December 17, 2006, 11:46:46 PM »
Amiga newbie here. I've just got my mouse so I'm starting to do a little more....and getting into more trouble!

I have (had) a disk that I have a few utilities on (A500 1MB, 1 floppy, WB 1.3) and when I open it, some of the icons overlap. I know that you can use 'cleanup' to re-arrange them, however, that is apparently temporary because the next time I open the disk, they overlap again! So, I had the idea of doing an info on the disk and saving it, thinking that maybe the state of the icon arrangement might be saved. That disk doesn't work anymore! So, the question is, is there a way to save the icon arrangement of a disk?

Thanks!

You guys got me close enough to break down and look in my intro to the A500 book. Snapshot saves the position of the 'selected' icons. Got it now!
