In order for Samba to find the drive share you're connecting it to, it references the host name or IP address and the share name.  Unless you're running a DNS server on your network, dynamic IP's will be significantly harder for you to use.  It would be easier if you switch to static so you don't have to worry about the address changing on you and the Samba connection not working in the future because of it.
