Dead Progressive 2000-040

l read where some revision of the  amiga 2000 motherboard had problems with cpu cards german model
l forget the full details ive got dead 060 card here . but in my case it is the card thats faulty

have you also tryed holding down the mouse buttons to go to boot menu look
at if the 040 card show up as a board mine didnt but commodore 020 card did.

yes turn it rightaway with battery leakage and dont turn on again till you removed it
as l managed to destroy one amiga 2000 in mint condition l think wasint ever used
that way aghhhhh and amiga 4000 l brought died after 1 o mins with same issue
clean with something that will evaportate not leave any residue . tiny bit water baking soda whould netulise the acid l whould have thought
