What I miss is a AOS3.9 installation guide. On a blank drive with atapi or scsi cdrom.
I remember I strugeled a lot with this, and I still dont know how you are supposed to do this, "the right way". All my installes have been done with inserting the target drive in another amiga as slave and do the work from there with working cdrom.
I am yet to have an emergency disk that finds my cdrom.
