As the suject states...

Everyone says, use the emerg disk to boot the Amiga, then install from the CD.

I got that. :-)

But, how the heck does one MAKE the emergency disk?

This is an A2000, dual floppy, fresh 2.2Gb HD on 2091.
Have OS3.1 roms and OS installed and working, CD0: mounted, can get to the CD no problem.

Try and run the installer, and I get a Suspend/Reset 800000003 error. (either installer)

Have dug and dug... even tried just copying the files from the emerg dir onto a blank floppy... but no luck, full long before end. (DD floppy)

It seems assinine to have to ask... but not a single FAQ mentions how to actually MAKE the emerg disk! :-)

Thanks!

I have not.

C of the current OS3.1 install, I assume you mean.

That makes some sense, I will try that.
Thanks!

Thanks... I was just about to come back and ask if that was "the right one". ;-)

Forgive the seemed ignorance, it's a learning curve, going back like this.

Ok, and try not to laugh TOO hard, but where is the actual lha program on Aminet?

Searching for "lha" kind of brings up a lot of results, and in the arcs dir, I just don't see the actual program...

Damn.
So, copied the "Installer" file from the 43 archive, into the c: dir.

It didn't overwrite anything, which I found odd...

But in any case, made no difference. :-(
Same error.

Is it maybe using an installer from the CDRom?

Wait - is the 68020 requirement, based on operational level? Or compile of the code?

(I just read it listed one place as recommended, another as manditory)

Yeah, sorry to waste your time. :-(

I read the word "recommended", and made an assumption.

What are my options for this A2000 then? Did they make anything to take it to a 68020?
I had a 68020 on my Lucas board on the A1000, but I think it was a square chip...
