Cutting edge?  Not with those specs.  A modernish machine yeah, but hardly the pushing the boundaries of technology like the original Amiga was.  The key here is survival, maintaining some level of connection to the modern world, no matter how remote.

Previous Amiga resurrections have tried for the mass market, A-EON aims straight for the niche.  That's why they might succeed.  Take a relatively low powered machine and make it interesting by throwing in the XMOS chip.  It may do nothing, but it adds a bit of mystery.
