Yeah, I'll see it too, I'm guessing it isn't really Trek anymore, but given that Trek is dead that may not be such a bad thing...

Battlestar Galactica demonstrated that a remake could be better than the original.  In a way the new Star Trek appears to be in the same lines as the new BSG, the same story but told in a more modern way.
