Personally though, I'll stick with the mother of all palmtops - my newton 120 :-D

Happy hunting dood

Yeah nothing beats the Newton got a MP2000 myself, but it stays in my house because I´m afraid of breaking it.( It already survived one 1m drop to the asphalt, no reason to push my luck).
Too bad there is no Newton emulator for Palms or Pocketpcs.

And only MS could screw up the letter-recognizer licensed from ParaGraph, it´s the same as the one used in the Newton.
Luckily it´s available here  http://www.phatware.com/index.html in an almost unaltered form. I´m still not used to the pocketpcs stupid way to mark and copy/paste text tough.
Apple did it right the first time, bring back the Newton!

PocketPCs with Xscale can run programs compiled for winCE on StrongARM( also known on old webbpages as Ipaq-version:-)).
If there isn´t any trouble with CE/ppc libraries, that is.

Got a viewsonic v35 myself it´s basically a mp3-player, the letter recognizer sucked, it´s too slow to play videos, too lowres and smallscreen to display pics and it´s only SD memory cards no SDIO.
So it´s mp3-player and chesscomputer(installed GNUchess) for now. Some day  it will maybe also become an ebook.

Even when I installed Calligrapher(new hwr-recognition) I found the OS got in the way of actually writing notes on it.

I hate that "Insert date"-menu that pops-up when holding down the pen. Anybody know a hack to disable it? So I could mark text like one the newton or with a realworld markerpen?

How do you like the handwriting recognition?
