I'd like to use a CF instead of a hard disk on an A4000T, which has no IDE interface. Has anyone ever used a SCSI to CF adapter at all, and especially on an Amiga? Does the inquiry report itself as a hard disk?

What? The A4000T has both IDE and SCSI.. Right?

Yikes, according to the info on the Web you are right! I always thought they dumped the IDE for the tower version.  These are Amiga Technologies boxes, but I don't think they are much different than CBM. I'll have to get the screwdriver out and strip her down.
