Obviously you were never at any of the most recent big fun Amiga shows in the U.S., back when there were big fun ones here. You can Boing a lot more than balls - shoes and BlimpCams come to mind
The checkmark never really went away, and around the time of those shows there were some official drive bay cover plates made with the A500 style Amiga logo.
