Horsefeathers. In all my years of setting up and using Amigas (SCSI) I don't have any problems. And with SCSI you can use many more devices than just the lame ide master/slave.
Over the years I had one CDROM drive that caused Amiga1200 to wait a long time with hdd light lit before starting to boot. I also had a CDROM drive that caused Amiga to hang and only when I pressed the eject button and reboot (cdrom ejected after the reboot) the A1200 would start to boot.
