Where is number6?
« on: December 10, 2012, 10:20:14 PM »
Noticed a thread from Franko over on AWN pointing out that number6 hasn't been active lately. He doesn't seem to have been active on any Amiga-related forum since around 10/23.

Does anyone know why he hasn't been around? Hopefully he's just taking a break from the madness and is okay.

Are u worried he might be dead or something?  I can call him if u want?

Well hopefully he isn't dead, or sick or anything! So yes it would be nice to know that he's still kickin. It's just unusual that he hasn't posted anything, anywhere lately, but wouldn't be surprised if he just got tired of it all and is taking a break or whatever. If you really can get in touch with him it would be nice to know he's physically alright. I'm not the only person whose asked about him.

I called him.
He is alive and well.

He is not participating in the Zombie Apocalypse prerelease.  He is waiting for the full version release on December 21, 2012.

His Micro A1 is dead so he can't get on the net.
He thinks it is gfx chip related.  He said he can't just plug in a PCI gfx card because the A1 has a buggy PCI bus.

I told him he could get a MorphOS machine really cheap.  He said he already has an old G4 mac laying around that might work with MOS but he never really looked into it.

He found a local repair guy who will try to fix it.  I donno what the odds are on it getting fixed.  I don't have much hope so I think it will be quite a long time before he comes back online.

He didn't seem to miss the internet very much until I called him.  Then he started getting excited about the Amiga community so I think his motivation to return to the scene has now been quadrupled.

Glad he's okay, hope he gets back online soon one way or another.

Hey - that's what he gets for buying an AmigaOne! :D
