New Find :-)
« on: September 13, 2015, 06:24:26 PM »
Had to take a recent trip to Woodstock, N.Y. to receive a nice Amiga 2000 gift.  Haven't opened her up yet...I think she has a Supradrive card installed and a Toaster card as well.

Yippeee..

Nice find, Rich!  Let us know what treats you find in 'er.

Besides finding a VideoToaster4000 board in her I see a board with a MACH130 chip...but don't see any writing on the board itself..hmmm..  That's gotta be a good one , right??

That got to be a GVP Impact 030 card, rev4 I belive by the color and 40Mhz clocked CPU, wonder if an FPU is under the shield. Bord labeling should be above the top memoryslot.

I'll find out..when I get home to do more diggin...
:).

Just checked..and you are correct..so not a bad board after all.. :).  The print above the RAM is very hard to notice... Can't wait to fire up this machine.

Funny that's an A2091 not a Supra controller.  It doesn't appear to have any Supra cards in it at all, unless perhaps the floppy drive?  I think that sticker is a ruse. ;)

Edit: Red power light and green HD light, probably a Rev. 4-era board.  Still not bad!  :)

I know I was looking for the SupraDrive..hehe its not in there.  I'm sure it was at one time though.  On the upside the battery has been removed and looks like there is a chop ram upgrade as well..

Ya, with the new picture it's clearly a A2091 and not a Supra controller.

I'd drop the A2091 off on Amibay and use the SCSI on the GVP card if it's working since it should be faster and allow you to map the 32bit fastmem outside Z2 space to free up some of that Z2 adresspace for something else. Right now the GVP memory seems to be jumpered in Z2 space, probably to have some fastmem in Z2 space for the A2091 not to resort to PIO crawl mode (this would also indicates that it's likely just 1MB and not 4MB GVP memorysticks installed).

Oh well...wonder what happened to the SupraCard... Apparently putting the emblem on was a thing..found this pic .. :).

Supra controllers were rubbish, anyway.  I have one kicking around in my spare A2000.  Going to replace it with an overclocked A2091, if I ever finish that project.  You interested?  :p

Would only be interested to keep ..cos of the sticker on the front.  The A2091 seems better if the Supra is rubbish :).  I need to power up this machine to see if she even works ..will keep ya'll posted for sure.  Perhaps a Youtube video is in order?
