(Pic)A4000T with 060 board...
« on: November 28, 2010, 11:13:52 PM »
I recently got an Eagle Computers and Video A4001T tower, opened her up and found
an 060 board installed.  I can not tell who is the manufacturer of this board, without
tearing it apart.. any clues as to what 060 board it might be?  I will post an image once I download it from my camera.

Ok Im adding an image I took of the 060 board thats inside the tower... Any clues?

Will do.  The tower isn't in the best shape, used of course.  A bit of cleaning is needed.
Oh and the puter does not have any expansion cards.. though I have plenty to install
if I choose.

It's a cool tower with tons of slots.

Whoever built it surely had some money so you may have anything in there.

Definitely post pics!

..Thats good to know.  I was taking apart the Eagle tower, just to check the motherboard and man that tower was build by a butcher I think.. multiple screw holes drilled.. ah..what a mess.. The physical tower is junk( imo) will remove the motherboard to check it out.
It also came with a Syjet 1.5gig internal drive, and a CV64 fully loaded with memory :-).

Got ya.. Thanks for the info. Well just from the look of it who ever built this particular tower did not do a very clean job.  And your more than welcomed to the physical tower and the slot board if you want..I have no need for such a huge tower..

Eagle towers are converted AT towers.. there will be tons of drilled and tapped holes that arent used. this is normal, dont assume its junk, unless someone went nuts drilling more holes all over it.

eagle made some fine towers with tons of expansion room, and they housed every/any accelerator usually without interference, unlike the pain in the butt real AmigaTechnologies a4000t's. most eagle slotboards had 2 video slots and i think 7 zorro slots, i still kick myself for selling my eagle long ago.

Oh,and when you power the cyberstorm ppc up,be sure the ppc fan is working well,if its not it will cook itself.

nice find there!
