Does this happen with both your A4000Ts? Did you try the stuff from this thread?

That thead and this one pertain to the same 4000T..Im just now getting round to really get this thing fixed..Well upon taking it apart..I found a few interesting things ..with several items..First the
Ports Module seems to have a few issues..witht the Caps..green fuzz around the solder pad..to me does not seem normal..I will post pics..That makes sense as I had a 12V loss at the serial port.  MMMM..where can I get one of those..
Second the A/V module..same thing with some of the caps..which..I believe to
be related to the sound part of that board as I was able to use my Idek...Need to get one of those as well..
Third, and this is without taking the whole MoBo out.  After I took my CV64, and my Sunrize AD516 boards out..I fully inspected the Zorro slots..and notice two caps..that had the same green fuzz..maybe they are leaking or
just bad??  ...chances are there are more caps etc. that need attention that
I cannot see at this point.  :-(.
I well post macro pics of everything that I think is not "normal"..and post them.
So this Amiga repair center..do they have a good reputation??  Do they have a web site..How long do things usually take to fix..??

Well thats the latest..

Thanks everyone..

Hello again..I just posted some pics showing the bad news..I know it takes a bit for them to actually post on the site..but they will be there soon enough..

Looks like I have my work cut out for me..If I get too deep I may have to send
my board in for repair!!
:-(
Oh well such as life right..and OH so worth it!!

Thanks
Rich

Sorry if I failed to notice, but does your board get recognised in early startup menu?

Thats ok..Yes the board is recognised by the early startup..and says its working..
I actually started a thread, just to find out how "smart" the early startup is.

Thanks
oh and as for the replies above..I have ordered an A/V module and a
ports module.  So that atleast is covered.  I do however see two
caps on the MoBo that look like they have leaked or have that
green fungis looking stuff around the solder pads..Check out my photos..I posted earlier.

I can replace the silver can like caps myself as long as I get find some new ones..
But Im def. keeping JJ in mind as I might have to send it to him.

Just got my replacement A/V board and Ports module board in the mail...

Sweet!!  I hope soon the A4000T will now be able to use my CV64/ Zorro
slots...We shall see.  I still need to inspect the MoBo..more closely.  As I know
I have a few caps..that look a bit fuzzy..

I will try and find a source for the Caps that are bad attempt to fix myself..

or should I just send it to be repaired..or should I try the new boards with out
inspecting the MoBo??

Silly questions I know..

I may post pics of the new boards.. :-)
